The Edgewater Retirement Community is one of the newest properties created by WesleyLife Family of Services. WesleyLife has provided older Iowans premier care for over 60 years. Edgewater is their newest concept in senior living. This expansive community sits on 400 acres of beautiful Iowa countryside. It provides a full-service facility for seniors, which includes shopping, personal care, financial services, various fitness facilities, multiple dining options and recreational activities, along with condominium style living. This spectacular community is located in a convenient and scenic setting just outside of West Des Moines, Iowa.
Edgewater is an expansive three-story structure that provides condominium-style living for nearly 200 seniors, with underground parking beneath the building. In addition, there are 36 independent townhomes for those who prefer direct access to the grounds. Assisted living, in-home healthcare, skilled nursing and rehabilitation are all available on-site for additional peace of mind to the residents.
When designing this complex, the architect was looking for an efficient, attractive and economical window for the multipurpose structure. AG Architecture selected Windsor’s Next Dimension Pro cottage-style window in clay to accentuate the condominiums, townhomes and skilled-nursing facility. These windows provided the performance and aesthetic the architects envisioned. They were also lightweight and easy to operate, which was an important feature. In addition to finding an attractive window that was easy to use, it was imperative to find a product that provided year-round comfort for the residents.
