West Des Moines, IA — Builders and architects can now achieve the sleek look of a modern home with wood windows featuring Windsor’s new Anodized Finish Program.
Anodize is a clear layer that molecularly bonds to the exterior cladding of Windsor’s Pinnacle Series of wood windows, which appears metallic. The highly demanded feature has been used for years in commercial projects; however, it is quickly becoming a popular choice in residential applications.
“Anodized finish is typically used to create a contemporary or urban curb appeal in residential applications, which is an architectural appearance desired by people in all regions of the United States,” explained Eric Holm, Product Manager at Windsor Windows & Doors.
Windsor offers eight anodized colors to choose from: clear, champagne, light bronze, medium bronze, dark bronze, extra dark bronze, black and copper. The program conforms to the standards of AAMA 611 Class 1, which is the highest class, requiring the thickest layer of coating, making the finish highly durable.
