On June 29-30, 2017, the Windsor Windows & Doors team put its home improvement skills to work for a good cause. More than 20 Windsor volunteers rolled up their sleeves, grabbed a hammer or a brush and joined in two different Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity projects.

On Thursday, the team participated in the “Rock the Block” renovation, which included demolition of a deck and front stoop and scraping paint from the entire exterior. On Friday, at another site, the work included painting the entire exterior of a home, including the deck.

Windsor is proud to be a long-time contributor to Habitat for Humanity. Windsor has donated building materials, as well as volunteer hours, all to help Habit for Humanity create safe, warm, welcoming spaces for families in need. To date, Windsor has participated in more than 20 Habitat for Humanity builds in the last 12 years.

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in nearly 1,400 communities across the United States and in approximately 70 countries around the world. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
