Each month, this internal initiative celebrates those outstanding individuals who make a difference in our company through self-motivation, consistency, dedication and engagement in the work they do every day. The managers from each of our three production facilities will select employees who demonstrate these qualities as “Difference Makers.”
North Carolina
The winner of the December Difference Maker Award for our North Carolina facility was Briant Smith. Briant works in the paint department and is a relatively newer Windsor employee, having been employed for 5 months. Briant is a motivated employee who assists other departments when they need an extra hand. He is very helpful to those around him and will do anything and everything that is asked of him. His dedication and assistance make an immediate impact to the department he is working in. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, and has another little one on the way! Thank you, Briant, for your hard work and dedication to making Windsor great!
David Lord was the January recipient of the Difference Maker Award in our North Carolina plant. David has worked for Windsor for 2 years in the door department. He is an asset to the company who is always helping others without them even needing to ask. He shows his commitment to Windsor by being the first one to arrive in the morning and the last to leave at night, and never misses a day. David truly cares about Windsor and its success. In his free time, he enjoys crocheting, playing Xbox and biking. Great job, David, and keep up the good work!
Congratulations to Nely Morales for being the February winner of the Difference Maker Award in our North Carolina plant. Nely has worked for Windsor for 5 months in the grille department. In that short time, she has made an impact on those around her with her positive attitude and desire to help others. Nely pushes herself every day to do her very best and demonstrates quality workmanship on whatever task she is working on. When not at Windsor, Nely likes to read, embroider and cross stitch. Thank you, Nely, for your hard work and commitment to Windsor.
West Des Moines
Kam Muang was named the December Difference Maker in our WDM facility. Kam works in the direct set department and has worked at Windsor for over 7 years. Kam is a very versatile employee and has recently learned to make the corner windows, producing 7 high quality windows on his first day learning the process! He comes to work each day with a great attitude and is willing to jump in wherever needed. Kam has also shown that he is a valuable member of the team by training new hires to the department. Thank you, Kam, for your dedication and commitment to Windsor.
Congratulations to Suan Thang for being designated as our January Difference Maker for the WDM facility. Suan works in the grille department and possesses all the qualities necessary to make a difference. He has extensive knowledge of the grille department and is an asset to his team. He comes to work each day with a positive attitude and consistently performs quality work. Suan is consistently motivated and engaged and puts forth his best effort every day. Oscar Perez-Chavez was the February 2022 winner of the Difference Maker Award for our WDM plant. Oscar is a long-term Windsor employee who has years of experience and knowledge within the patio door department. He primarily works on bi-fold doors, but has been very helpful in assisting other areas of production. He is engaged in his daily tasks and meeting the demands of the daily schedule. Oscar has earned the respect of his peers by demonstrating quality workmanship and offering to help others when they need it. Well done, Oscar!
Norwalk
Khupno Lalnuna was the December 2021 Difference Maker in our Norwalk location. Khupno works 2nd shift on the patio door line and is a valuable member of the team. No matter where he is working or what task he is performing, Khupno strives to do his very best to ensure the success of his department. He happily steps up and assists wherever he is needed while always working towards the goals of the department. He has a positive attitude and works well with others. Congratulations, Khupno, on being recognized as a Difference Maker.
The Difference Maker Award for January in our Norwalk facility was Araceli Garcia. Araceli works in the ND Pro department and is very knowledgeable about her area. She comes to work each day with a smile on her face and ready to dive in to assist the line in any way possible. She has also helped to overcome obstacles on the production line to ensure her department runs as smoothly as possible. She keeps her area clean and organized and works efficiently to keep up with the production schedule. She demonstrates respect for others and has earned the respect of her peers and managers. Way to go, Araceli!
The winner for our February 2022 Difference Maker in our Norwalk plant was Gerardo Cruz. Gerardo works in the shipping department and loads the shuttle to North Carolina on a regular basis. He consistently demonstrates quality work by accurately loading product on the shuttle. Gerardo always has a good attitude and is dedicated to completing the shipping schedule on time. Gerardo has developed positive relationships with other employees throughout the plant which makes him a great addition to the shipping team. Thank you, Gerardo, for all that you do for Windsor.
