There are many tools available to you whenever you are working on a quote in Power Tools that you may not know about or that you simply may not remember. When Power Tools was introduced, it was launched not only as a stand alone quoting and ordering system, but also as a single log-in "suite" of tools to allow our customers easy access to many different areas of our website or internal order tracking system.
Some of the tools available from the Power Tools landing page are noted below and are accessed by hovering over the black button for the drop down menu. Some of the black buttons are not yet "built out" in our system, but there is a multitude of information that is only a click away.
Orders, Ack and Invoices
Formerly known as Win-track. This information gives customers access to see ship dates on orders, review acknowledgements and print invoices.
Energy Star Resources
This button links you to the Energy Star Resource Center portion of the Windsor website where an abundance of information on this topic resides.
PTQ Support
This area offers several types of Power Tools support such as User Manuals, Installation Instructions and FAQs.

Section Details
These 3 buttons link back to Windsor's website, Technical Info and provide specific sizing information, all Section Details, types of technical data and detailed section drawings of Windsor's various products.
Glossary
This button provides a Windsor-specific and industry-specific glossary of terms and their meanings such as what the (5) abbreviations mean that are printed out below each window on every quote, i.e., U-value, SHGC, VT, CR, and AL.
Field Service
This button allows viewing of current product warranties and a link to the Parts and Service Information section of the website which shows detailed exploded views of Windsor products, descriptions, and part numbers allowing for easier ordering of parts through Power Tools.
Marketing
This button allows access to many various marketing related items such as; Windsor's Brand Standad, Literature PDFs, Photo Library, Logos, Print ads, Co-op Program and forms, and Display Programs. Under the display program link, you can also find a listing of literature part numbers and sales samples parts numbers to aid in ordering these items through Power Tools. Finally, there is also a link to the Windsor Company Store where Windsor Logoed items are available for ordering.
News
This button allows access to old product/marketing bulletins, press releases and archived electronic issues of Windsor World.
Once linked back to Windsor's website, you can easily navigate between the "Homeowners" side and the "Professionals" side. While both "sides" offer access to much of the same information, the Professional side provides direct access to Windsor's full architectural reference information and is easily navigated without the need for a special sign-in or password. This area is where the most up-to-date architectural information resides and makes it easy for customers or architects to do their research.
There are a few other key items to note on the Windsor website:
- Installation instructions are available for all product series.
- Window and door maintenance is addressed in the Care and Use Guide. This is a great "leave behind" for homeowners' closing packets from their builders.
- Finally, Case Studies are available for reference and provide excellent examples of various Windsor products featured in projects ranging from single family custom homes to luxury homes, and from multi-family projects to commercial applications.
All of the above information is found on the drop down menu under the Resources button, which is located at the top of the Homeowners landing page.
