In early November, Bulletin 2015-31 detailed some important changes and dates related to the Next Dimension product offering. Over the last 20 years, Next Dimension has grown from one series to three, and while these products have all been very successful, it is time for Windsor to transition Next Dimension to its next chapter through a multi-phased approach.
Signature Double-Hung Decommission
The Next Dimension Signature double-hung has reached its effective product life cycle. Friday, January 15, 2016, marks the last order entry day for this product. To fill the void left by the Signature double-hung, we will be launching a Next Dimension Classic standard frame double-hung in the early spring of 2016.
Next Dimension Classic Production Moving- to Iowa
A critical piece of the Next Dimension transition is the physical move of Next Dimension Classic production from Monroe to West Des Moines. This will allow us to capitalize on manufacturing automation and efficiencies. The move will result in a shutdown of Next Dimension Classic production for 30 days, from Friday, January 29, 2016, until the first day of operation in West Des Moines on Monday, February 29, 2016.
Next Dimension Classic Standard Frame Double-Hung
Windsor will be launching a Next Dimension Classic standard (non-brickmould) frame double-hung platform. This will allow us to expand our Next Dimension replacement product offering.
Consolidating Three Product Series into One
Over the 20-year history of Next Dimension, we have worked hard to fill gaps and round out the product offering. In doing so, we unexpectedly created unnecessary complexity and confusion by maintaining 3 separate vinyl product series. We heard the call for simplifying this offering and will be transitioning Signature, Pro and Classic into a single series.
