Focus on Quality

Windsor is committed to delivering quality products through the pursuit of continuous improvement. To strengthen this commitment, we have added two new members devoted specifically to improving processes that ensure quality and consistency.

Nakul Chandwalker will serve as our Divisional Quality Process Improvement Manager. He is located at our Monroe, North Carolina facility and will lead the quality control efforts for the entire window division. Nakul graduated in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and received his master’s of science degree in industrial engineering from North Dakota State University. Nakul has extensive experience in the window and door industry, spending the last 8 years working for Marvin Windows & Doors’ Integrity line, where he oversaw product development, testing, operational processes, and quality control.

Sarah Cook will serve as the Quality Manager at the West Des Moines, Iowa plant. She graduated from Iowa State University in 1996 with a bachelor’s of science degree in industrial engineering. Sarah possesses strong knowledge of window and door manufacturing with over 10 years of experience. She spent 8 years at EMCO/Andersen Windows & Doors. Prior to that, Sarah worked at Pella Corporation.

Nakul and Sarah will focus on:

  • Establishing metrics and supporting systems that identify quality levels for products in various stages of production.
  • Structuring quality management systems that define, measure, analyze, improve and control products in various stages of production.
  • Devising corrective and preventive continuous improvement systems to manage quality concerns.
  • Creating training programs and tools to empower employees and generate accountability.
  • Developing consistent processes across all Windsor locations.

Quality is one of Windsor’s highest priorities. As a result, we have devoted substantial resources and hired qualified people to ascertain that we meet our customers’ expectations.
