Company teamwork is often just as important when the workday ends and Windsor employees are working harder than ever to lift each other up when it matters most.
On Saturday, October 19, 25 employees from Windsor’s Monroe location participated in the Piedmont Community walk in benefit of breast cancer research and awareness. Each of the participants sported pink pullovers with Windsor’s logo on the left chest along with the words “Stronger Together” printed down one sleeve.
Windsor donated door prizes and set up a tent with several pink-themed gift items for this event, and sponsored each of the employees who joined in for the walk — a total donation of $350 to be given to this worthy cause. This cause is especially close to the hearts of the Monroe team who joined in for this event in support of a co-worker currently battling breast cancer.
The Piedmont Community Breast Cancer Walk was established in 2003 by a group of ladies wishing to make a difference in the lives of women in Union County. This is a local community walk held on every 3rd Saturday in the month of October and raises money and awareness about breast cancer in support of those who have battled, or are currently battling breast cancer.
