Windsor Windows & Doors North Carolina started a new tradition this holiday season by holding their first annual Homemade Ornament Contest. It was conducted on Friday, December 10th and participants were given complete creative freedom. The only rule for this competition was that the ornaments had to be completely homemade… nothing store bought.
We were thrilled to have twelve entries in the competition and all hand-crafted ornaments were displayed on a Christmas tree in the plant. This Christmas tree also displayed a cut-out paper ornament with the name of every employee from both the 1st and 2nd shifts. After a panel of three judges reviewed the ornaments for originality and craftsmanship, a winner was named. After much deliberation, Diego Capote was named as the 2021 winner. Diego crafted an ornament of Windsor window-making at its finest. He received a well-deserved gift card for his efforts. Congratulations, Diego!
