Pre-Finished Sill Thresholds Now Available for Pinnacle Patio Doors
This summer, Windsor Windows & Doors introduced pre-finished sill thresholds for our Pinnacle patio door line. With this change, you can now match the finish of your wood threshold to the pre-finished interior of the remainder of your door. This exciting addition has proved to be a popular option with the patio door offering.
Why It Matters
The new pre-finished sill thresholds match our most popular interior finishes, eliminating the need for field finishing and ensuring a consistent, pleasing appearance. This update simplifies the installation process and enhances the overall aesthetic of Pinnacle Sliding and Hinged Patio Doors.
All doors that include a pre-finished sill threshold come with a removable PVC cover. The PVC cover is applied during the door’s construction to add a protective layer over the finish, thereby preventing scratches, dents and other damage. The cover is designed to remain in place until the construction of the home or building is complete.

Threshold finishes can be mixed and matched with the interior finish selected for the rest of the interior. With Windsor’s interior finishes, the possibilities are endless. You could opt for a white frame, a chestnut-stained panel and a clear-coated threshold, for example. Windsor can customize these doors to match your interior and style.

Being located on the sill of the door, the threshold can take a beating from day-to-day traffic. Although the interior finish will provide some protection, wear and minor damage may still occur over the product’s life. Windsor offers color-matched fill sticks and touch-up paint markers to keep your threshold looking new for years to come.
