Windsor offers a wide selection of grille bar options from stick and perimeter grilles to inner-grille and Windsor Divided Lite (WDL).
Today, when a WDL grille option is selected, it is based on the exterior bar profile with available options of 7/8 and 1-1/4 standard or 5/8 and 7/8 putty tall or short. When one of these options is selected, the interior bar automatically defaults by the exterior bar.
We are currently reviewing a project to “decouple” the interior and exterior WDL bar options. This will allow customers to select an exterior bar as you do today, then allowing a choice on the interior bar – rather than defaulting to the exterior bar choice as it works today.
The decoupling of the interior and exterior WDL bars will enable us to add more interior WDL grille bar options. For example, interior contemporary bars to complement the recently introduced contemporary glazing bead option as well as an interior 7/8 putty bar.
The IT work to decouple the exterior and interior WDL bars will start in early 2014 with an anticipated launch later in 2014. Stay tuned for more updates.
